Step by step

  1. Open Create ZIP file and add your files. Any kind of file works.
  2. Type a name for the ZIP.
  3. Choose Smaller to compress documents and text, or Faster to just pack them.
  4. Select Create ZIP, then download it and attach or upload it.

Tips

  • Documents and spreadsheets often shrink by half or more. Photos and videos are already compressed, so they barely change.
  • Many email services limit attachments to about 20 to 25 MB, even when zipped. For bigger sets, use a file-sharing link.
  • Photos too big? Shrink them with Compress image before zipping.

If something goes wrong

The ZIP is barely smaller than the files.

That’s normal for photos, video and music. Use Compress image or Compress video if size matters.
