Cookies and storage

FilePDQ sets no cookies and shows no ads. Visitor analytics run only if you choose Allow.

Visitor analytics (only with your permission)

If you select Allow, we use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to count visits and measure how fast pages load. They run from this site’s own address, set no cookies, and record the page address (without anything after a ?, so your searches are not included), the referring site, your country, browser, device type and page-speed measurements. Vercel identifies a visit with a short-lived, anonymised value that changes every day. Your files and anything you type into tools are never included.

If you select No thanks, nothing is loaded and nothing is counted. You can change your mind at any time:

What we store on your device

Only two things, and both stay on your device:

  • Your analytics choice (local storage, filepdq-consent): remembers whether you chose Allow or No thanks, so we don’t ask again. Kept until you clear your browser data.
  • Your finished results (IndexedDB): after a tool finishes, its output files are kept in your browser for up to one hour so you can continue if a download is interrupted or the tab closes. They are deleted when you select “Start over” or “Discard”, or automatically after an hour. They are never sent to us.

You can remove both at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser settings. If your browser blocks storage, the tools still work; we ask about analytics on each visit and count nothing unless you allow it.
