Which files can I use?

Step by step, and if something goes wrong

Steps

  1. Drop audio files (or videos, to extract their sound).
  2. Choose MP3, WAV or OGG.
  3. Select Convert audio, then download.

If something goes wrong

  • Converting between lossy formats (such as MP3 to OGG) can’t restore lost quality.
  • Everything runs in your browser using its built-in video and audio engine, so very long or 4K videos take a while on slower devices. Keep the tab open until it finishes.
  • If you see “Not supported by your browser”, try the latest Chrome or Edge. Safari and Firefox support fewer formats.
  • Videos up to 5 GB and 4 hours are accepted. Larger files are read from disk in pieces, so they don’t need to fit in memory.
