Step by step, and if something goes wrong
Steps
- Download a CSV from your online banking (never share your bank login with any website).
- Drop the CSV here and say how dates are written in it.
- Select Clean up CSV, check the report, then download.
If something goes wrong
- Amounts like £1,234.50, (12.00) and 12.00 DR become plain numbers; debits become negative.
- A value that can’t be read with confidence is left exactly as it was and listed in the report. Nothing is guessed.
- Keep “Remove duplicate rows” off if the same purchase can genuinely happen twice in a day.
- Tick “Open in Excel” so the £ sign and accents show correctly in Excel.
