Step by step, and if something goes wrong

Steps

  1. Add a picture (JPG, PNG or WEBP).
  2. Choose what it is: a logo, an illustration or a photo.
  3. Select Convert to SVG and download the vector file. Zoom in to check the edges.

If something goes wrong

  • Logos and icons with a few flat colours trace best. Use the largest, sharpest copy you have.
  • Tracing creates shapes from colours, so it doesn’t recover text as editable text.
  • Photos become a stylised, painted-looking vector rather than an exact copy.
