Drop a ZIP file here

ZIP files up to 500 MB, and up to 2,000 files or 1 GB inside.

Stays on your device

Handy on a Chromebook, a work computer where you can’t install software, or when a download won’t open. Each file is checked against the ZIP’s own checksum, so damaged files are reported rather than saved.

Step by step, and if something goes wrong

Steps

  1. Drop a ZIP file. You’ll see how many files it holds and how big they are unpacked.
  2. Select Unzip.
  3. Download the files you want, or all of them.

If something goes wrong

  • Files inside folders are saved by their own names; two files with the same name get a number.
  • Folders, and system files such as __MACOSX and .DS_Store, are left out.
  • Every file is checked against the ZIP’s checksum. A damaged file is listed instead of being saved.
  • Password-protected ZIPs aren’t supported yet. RAR and 7z files aren’t ZIPs and can’t be opened here.
  • Only open files from people you trust: unzipping is safe, but running a program you unpacked is not.
